Upon re-evaluation of the situation, the party decides that discretion is indeed the better part of valor. Leaving the cares of Souragne behind, the party braves surviving the desert sand of a new and unknown land.

Fortuitous discovery of an oasis to escape the heat turns to deadly combat. A young brown dragon, some 30 feet or more long with great spiked fins for wings, has already made it's home here.

Who will win the most precious resource in the desert?

Scene 2.8 "The Better Part of Valor"
Two dark forces, left unchecked, now lead powerful factions, west and east, in battle for control of Souragne. The former Lord of Souragne languishes in the north in the last free population, Port d'Elhour.

The party sits caught in the middle of this conflict, and has chosen to act rather than flee. Under Drago's advisement they will embark to contact the entity of the swamp and find out what can be done to resolve the conflict.

What awaits them at the swamp? And, will they finally discover the identity of the entity?

The party recovers from yet more battle, having been threatened and attacked by both sides of a conflict fast approaching. Can they stop either faction from reshaping the face of Souragne? Do they even wish to?

Scene 2.6 "Tête-à-tête"
The party has survived their battle at a heavy price. Both of the newcomers to the party, Zahar and Varis were killed in a lengthy and fiery battle with the fiendish bunnies and their master.

Varis nobly took the lead in the fight, but his heroism proved his downfall. He was the first to be assaulted by the fiery creatures as they would hurl themselves directly into the party members. He quickly found himself separated from group and unable to withstand their assault. But, his noble sacrifice will certainly never be forgotten by the survivors.

The party now lays among the fields, attempting to recover from their many wounds.

Can they continue to survive like this in this land?

What will their next move for survival be?

And, what surprises await to be discovered about this defeated fiend and his hostile shadow?
