E-Mail digest

My players are asking, so I'll pass it on here. Is there a way to do a once a day email digest? I want them to be informed of changes, but getting an email for every change I make is a little overwhelming.

If there isn't a way to do this today, might I suggest it for the next big thing list?

While this workaround solution will give you the result you want (one notification for multiple edits), its nowhere near as handy as the self-generating email digest of changes you described would be. However..you can at least reduce the number of e-mails being sent through creative use of the options at the bottom of the Wiki edit screen.

For the first change you want to make without notifying players, check only the box labelled "Do not notify campaign members of this change." and select Save. For the remainder of the changes you make, have the same checkbox checked, but also check the checkbox for "Minor Change".

When you've finished all the edits, go and edit one more time, ensuring to check only the box labelled "Minor Change". Click Save, and without the other box checked this action will trigger an email notification for the change you just made, which (according to the revision information on this site) will be one edit containing all the changes you made over however long its been.

Wow this is a great idea. I personally am able to handle a dozen or so email accounts with about 50+ emails per day, but this is with the use of Google, labels, folders, etc. Some of my players really like Epic Words but are turned off by the email notifications. Had not really thought about this before.

That might work, but that will only work for wiki changes I make. Journals, forums, etc also notify.

This is an excellent suggestion. I will add it to the Next Big Thing list. It would certainly require a significant change to how notification works, of course.
