About Eternal Vigilance

"Eternal Vigilance is a multi-gaming guild, and this is a source of great pride to us. We have crafted a chain of command that is conducive to such an environment; constantly adapting to the interests of the members so that your membership with Eternal Vigilance lasts longer than your interest in a single game. When you join Eternal Vigilance, you are making a decision that will likely benefit you for years to come.

In our experience, multi-gaming guilds - guilds that participate in multiple games and add portals as participation dictates - have not only a much longer lifespan, but perform exceedingly well in every game that they choose to participate in. This is only logical; members of multi-gaming guilds have known each other for years and have this advantage under their belt when working together towards goals in new games. When we founded Eternal Vigilance, we knew from the beginning that this advantage would be invaluable towards the success of the guild.

Thus, from the very start, we have shaped and streamlined our structure to support the strenuous demands of such ambitious endeavors. Our portals are not 'clans within a guild' unlike many multi-gaming organizations... we have carefully, with much thought and attention to detail, created a fluid system that enables our friendly, atmospheric gaming community to operate like a well-oiled machine.

About the Virtual Table RPG Portal

Overview
The Virtual Table RPG portal exists to preserve (or ignite for the first time) the old school tabletop gamer in all of us. The portal was founded in November 2011 by Ardis Foxx and Viv. We are mainly focused on the D&D 4th Edition ruleset, but we also play other systems such as Star Wars Saga Edition. We use the D&D Insider’s Virtual Table software to host these games online.

Goals
The motivating factor of the portal is to ensure the best play experience possible for an internet-based tabletop RPG. We hold a high standard of excellence in creating, maintaining and running campaigns. For a detailed look at how we achieve this, please read the VT RPG Portal Charter.

Why Join?
Our portal offers more than any single gaming group can. We have a dedicated center of leadership, experienced Dungeon Masters, and expertly crafted campaigns. We are driven to make the game a success, and to elevate each member to a place where they can run their own campaign if they so choose. If you need advice on how to play or DM a game, we have the knowledge base to make it great.

No matter what game we’re playing, Eternal Vigilance has always been dedicated to maintaining a friendly, mature, active community; We’re a home away from home. We’re as dedicated to our games as we are to our community, and we believe that if things are built on a solid foundation, they have every chance to exceed expectation. Although we realize that nothing is ever perfect, we know that the ability to change and evolve is important, which is why we are a democratic guild. Everyone has a voice that will be heard. These are the values we bring to tabletop gaming.

Our current campaigns are as follows:

We've got two D&D 4e campaigns running at the moment and we're looking to start a third very soon.

Deeds of Fire is a homebrew roman/greek style campaign that follows the deeds of a few war heroes after the death of the emperor.

In the Dragon's Shadow is set in Thesk, Faerûn. It's a campaign where east meets west, and features many oriental staples such as yakuza, ronin, honorable warriors and devious assassins, as well as all the rich lore that makes the Forgotten Realms the most popular D&D campaign setting of all time.

This third campaign looks to be a Gamma World or Fallout style game, but there's also a chance it could steer towards Star Wars Saga Edition. Send a PM to Seihava or myself if you're interested.

Hey there guys and gals! Just wanted to pop in and give an update on the VT RPG division. Things are going really well and it is rather exciting to see how lively everything is becoming!

Our third campaign, Dawn of Defiance (Star Wars Saga Edition), has a thriving roster and we're all rather thrilled about the growth in the division. In fact, things are so lively that we've had another campaign proposal for the Ravenloft setting which is expected to also gain a full roster. It's really a good feeling to be able to offer different styles of campaigns, and having four will most likely offer a nice variety of times for scheduling the sessions so that everyone gets to play.

We still have room, so by all means if you're interested, contact us via PM or post here!

Someone asked me about the Virtual Table and what we use it for. Allow me to explain :)

This link will take you to an informational page at wizards.com which describes the VT.

I've also created these video tutorials of the VT and uploaded them to youtube.

We use the Wizards Virtual Table for all our games, so for players seeking to join a gaming group that plays remotely over the internet and plays regularly, our community is ideal. We're solid, structured and resourceful, and we love encouraging people to use the VT for other game settings too.

Currently we have 4 campaigns. Forgotten Realms D&D 4e, homebrew D&D 4e, Star Wars Saga Edition, and Ravenloft 4e. The more players that join, the more games we can run together using the VT. We have a roster of 20 players and new recruits are coming in regularly, which is fantastic as our division has only been active for a few short months.

Come get in on the ground floor of a good thing! Apply to join Eternal Vigilance here.

In the Dragons Shadow has Launched!

The first sessions went of with a Thud of a head hitting the table as a Stondylus was poisoned before we had barely got started! Followed by a clashing of blades and the twang of bow strings as Narrows was ambushed!

Fortunately for the two, helpful guest at the tavern (Akamu, Mar Pendula and Oni Hanzo) came to their aid and foiled Vylir's plans.
