New Catalogue - redirects to epicwords homepage

« Previous 1
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong; but if I click "new catalogue" under loot, I get redirected to the EW homepage.

Just wanted to report, in case it hasn't noted, yet.

I had a similar issue. Also, I seem to have a blank or unnamed catalog in there and can't edit or delete it.

That's what I get for testing new features out on the tiny screen of my phone instead of at a real computer... I think I clicked something I shouldn't have.

To update information - I tried this on my XP machine with IE 8, and my win 7 machine with IE 9. Both redirected to homepage.

However, in Safari via my iPhone, I was able to successfully create a catalogue.

Further update -- after I created my first catalogue on the iPhone, I began receiveing the redirect when trying to create a second catalogue.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it!

OK... I've applied a potential fix. Please try again!

Epic!
Seems to be working now. Very cool. I wasn't very interested in the idea, but my players were excited at the prospect, and I like being able to setup actual merchants, now that I've been playing with it!

I don't want to make a new thread so I'll just dump this here:

The CSV import throws a fit with special characters, especially umlauts. In some cases it works flawlessly, in some cases you'll get garbage chars, in some the words get truncated and in others the server just gives up completely with an error page.

Don't know if that's a problem with the parser or whatever encoding Excel saved the CSV as and I can fix it by a simple Search/Replace but that's not exactly a longterm solution.

A few more assorted things:

* Slight layout problem with Chrome on the shopping screen. Works on Firefox.

* You cannot read the full description on the shopping screen. That kinda throws a wrench into things unless players already know what's what.

* A "Select All" checkbox when importing a catalog into a merchant would be great.

* A way to delete a catalog would be too.
