The salvage and recovery of the Raven went about as smooth as one can hope for such a dangerous undertaking. The island was home to a familial group of Barnical Apes (see reference note and sketches in Appendix Z,32). The only major obstacles were a mutated Barnical Ape and the last "surviving" member of the Raven, a Glowmad creature of some size and odor (reference added under Appendix P,1). Overcoming his stench proved a good challenged to the motley team I have grouped up with, but they proved to be decently skilled and all returned from the island alive (Log of salvage and possible architectural interest added to K,97c). Upon return to Chance, however, the pendent we recovered was claimed by captain Luckfinder, and was revealed to be a long-lost holy symbol to Oceanius, aka Lightbringer, aka The Madness (A new Appendixes will be added referencing this item of power and the prophetic words spoken through Luckbringer).
Also of note beside the divine encounter with Madness it would seem that the Glowborn I have traveled with possesses telepathic abilities. I am uncertain if this is a unique trait or something common among his kind. This will need to be investigated further as a possible explanation for the events back at the White Lotus Academy, though even if true it only will bring up further lines of inquiry. My suspicion however is that this is simply a coincidence and will lead to a dead end at this time.
Reminder:
1) Negotiate ritual expenses into future contracts, as they are far too useful to do without, but the profit margin does little to ease the pain of acquiring the needed components.
2) Finish current batch of arcane elixirs.
