Lucan
"To truly live is to feel the sun on your face, the grass between your toes, and not to ponder from whence your next meal comes."
User: Gabriel
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Role: Controller
Class/Level: Druid/1
Background:
Lucan was an apprentice to Currund the Golden, one of the elder druids of Lathlanian. He fell in with a group of young elves who sought to take direct action against the humans of Eldor, and participated in some of their clandestine raids. Currund, who counseled patience in dealing with the humans, learned of Lucan's actions and expelled him from his apprenticeship. Lucan lived in shame until he learned that King Cevranath sought an envoy to Cosdol to ask for aid in the war. Seeing a chance for redemption, Lucan volunteered, not realizing that the mission was only a token gesture.

Upon arriving in Cosolen, Lucan was denied audience to the king, and treated as another just another elven refugee. Lacking money, he was forced to scrounge for survival in one of the city's alienages. There he met a beautiful half-elf woman named Jeshela. When he learned that she is deeply in debt to a human thieves guild known as the Laughing Jacks, he volunteered to help her pay her debt, not wanting to see her fall prey to ruthless humans.

Before he left Lathlanian, Lucan was given an Alfsair ("Elf speaker") spear, marking him as a representative of King Cevranath. Although the ornate spear would probably fetch a high price, Lucan has refused to pawn or sell it, and usually carries it wrapped in an old cloak to avoid undue attention.
