Stupid mistake of a Litch... You never woke up. Of course some holy guy was going to clean out the place. You were easy pickings. Why didn't you just give up and die along time ago?

Sigh. Fine. If you want to go the hard way, we'll oblige. - And burn that freaky house down to the ground.

We went through his mansion, room by room, getting a better, and unfortunate understanding of the depravity of this man and his family. And I think I know why I didn't see the dark in him - he's like two people in one body: a monstrous legacy of his family, and spoiled, scared, lonely man. I saw him shift between the two right in front of me. Somehow that makes me feel better, and worse about it. I know how I was duped, but in the end, I was still duped.

We have new pieces to the puzzle of the murders, but there are still a few holes. We know that Aldern was behind the murders and ghoul attacks with the love notes, and discovered that he himself, had become an intelligent ghoul.

We learned that his grandfather was researching how to become a Litch, and succeeded. Something went wrong however, and we suspect that his phylactery accidentally ended up being the mansion, rather than the ornate seven sided box he was planning on. (Living inside a an evil spirit's phylactery certainly explains the behavior of the Foxglove family these past three generations.)

But Aldren did not grow up here. What did he return here for? Was he touched in the head before he came here and killed his wife, or did that happen when he entered the mansion?

When he was having a lucid moment in our final fight, he mentioned the Brotherhood of Seven. Are they behind the reemergence of the seven pointed star symbol we keep finding in the darker places of Sandpoint? He said they "forced him to". Who are they? What did they want from Aldren, and do they have anything to do with his Grandfather being a Litch? I might say that his grandfather's Litchood could separate to the Brotherhoods goals - maybe it just made Aldren a good candidate to approach for 'Their' plans - but it's extremely interesting that the intended phylactery was a seven sided box. That's a very specific shape.

Aldren is dead, and hopefully his ghouls are spent. We still have one very important thing to finish here however. The Litch is rebuilding himself in the mold. We can see it there, in the corner. This place must be destroyed - and quickly I would think.

We found the first note to me pinned to a victim of the Mill murders. Then we found the key with the fox glove heraldry on the ghoul who ate up the hambly farm - and another note. And then the man who went looney from witnessing more attrocities had another message for me, mentioning Misgivings... Thanks to a little investigation, we know the heraldry is from Aldern Foxglove's family, and Misgivings is the name of the family mansion.

Eh. I dunno what to say. I didn't ask for this. I dunno why he was so smitten with me. Sure, I flirted - an appearently nice guy looking to impress me? Why not? Sigh... I had no idea he was so touched in the head.

We made our way to the mansion, past the burnt down servents quarters. The land got more depressing the closer it we came to the mansion - like it was cursed. But, I detected nothing magical per say, so maybe it's just nature's intuition. We should probably heed her warning, but we won't. People are being murdered in my name. I need to put an end to Aldern.

Once we enterted the Mansion, the deprevity of this family became appearent. There were odd tophies and expensive decorations all to do with the most horrid monsters. (What is it with this town and Monsters?) Every room seem haunted in some way - giving us visions, and at several points, nearly tricking us into loosing our lives. I even caught a mild plauge that Yola was able to purge from me - mostly - but I still feel cranky and less effective. Like the worst monthies I've ever had.

Many people lost there lives in these rooms, but they appear to all be family. Nice. And even though we've explored most of the house, Aldern is no where to be found.

We'll have to visit the basement next. There are Ravens outside that let us enter unmolested, but don't seem to want us to leave alive. If we are very lucky, we can purge whatever evil lies in this place, and maybe the ravens will dispurse... maybe.
