Anamis bound Biblios's essence to him in a binding ritual early in his life. There was no bargains made, only power stolen. Yet somehow the powerful devil has corrupted this ritual. Whether he has claim to Anamis's soul is a mystery, but the devil would have Anamis believe so.

First encountered when the party conned their way into and out of house Tomblador's good graces, along with stealing their seneschal's ledger, Brinna had taken a liking to Solaris. They sparred for a while in the courtyard, and seemed to hit it off quite well. It was she who allowed the party to escape after being caught by the High Praetor.

Clubb was first encountered when he led a group of shifting sands raiders into the dusty jewel to steal Hargo's athame. Later it would be discovered he was working for the veiled alliance to rescue one of their own, trapped in Andropinis' secret prison.

The last they saw of Clubb was during negotiations to steal another athame for trade. Currently, Clubb is believed to be dead by the hands of Praetor Haraxes.

He definitely knows his weapons, both in practice and theory.

Granikkus led a slave revolt after learning of Oulestes Thestis' plan to use the gladiator match as a distraction. Believing he was setup to lose, he freed Oulestes other slaves and marched on house Tomblador to kill Crusher.

Unfortunately for the gladiator, Crusher did not cheat to win, and was more than prepared to deal with the goliath's wounded pride. The party put him down, along with the slave revolt in house Tomblador's gardens.

Once a high Templar in service to Andropinis of Balic, Hargo retired a long time ago and now operates a small trade outpost on the estuary. To most people, he's a decently honest tradesman who has a lot of connections to the various city-states.

The merchant known as Jakkin doesn't have much of a past 'round these parts. He arrived in Samarah with some coin and setup shop one day. Over the years, he's created quite a successful business for himself, and gets along nicely with the templar magistrate.

His most frequent customer is Hargo Vole. They have had a strong working relationship for some time.

Recently, with the help of the heroes, he was able to usurp Shek-mo-Garmin and take over the majority of trade in Samarah. His new title is Shek-al-Jakkin.

Solaris's father, reknowned for his patience and wisdom as a tactician and warrior. Skilled with a longsword and shield he has been one of the Desert Shields longest running captains and was instrumental in holding the survivors of the raid on their compound together before they left for Tyr. His current status is unknown, presumed alive and likely in Tyr leading the remnants of the Desert Shields in their current form.

Oulestes is a man of military upbringing and his one true love is fighting. Whether it be personal tests of skill, or enjoying his gladiators' victories in the arena, his true profession is bloodletting.

Since retiring from fighting, Quan moved to Samarah and began training gladiators. A popular man about Samarah, it was quite disconcerting when his son, Kelek, was kidnapped.

An offer to poison gladiators for the benefit of house Tsalaxa was turned down by Quan, which lead to the house holding Kelek ransom. Quan's honor keeps him from following their instructions, so he has turned to an hold friend (Crusher) for help.

A young mul, barely in the Balican legion, Creel is eager to prove himself and happy to do his job.

Sectis is a smart and cunning leader. Despite his age he is still a fearsome warrior and a force to be reckoned with. Anamis has vowed that he will slay his former captain, and gain control over the few remaining Red Blades.

A former mercenary captain renowned amongst the Desert Shields and best known for her abilities with a Trikal and her dedication to her family and squadmates. She disappeared on mission with the rest of her squad around Solaris's 8th year and her current whereabouts are unknown, It is presumed she is either dead or captured. Her captaincy was left vacant and never filled until Solaris came of age and proved his capabilities as a leader and a fighter.
