Description:
A young Northman, Sevrid is named for his blood red hair. He seeks to fulfill the destiny set forth for him by the gods.

Background:
Hailing from the far frozen north, Sevrid is the youngest son of his clan's Chief. Marked by his blood red hair and dark complexion, which sets him apart from his blond- and white-haired clansmen; many whispered that his birth was influenced by the dark forces that beset his people.

Showing an early aptitude for war craft, Sevrid was trained to assume a position of leadership among the clans' warriors. This he longed for: a simple life, free from the politics and jealousy surrounding his father and eldest brother, the Chief and Heir.

Alas the gods laugh at the plans of men, and on his 18th naming day they sent a vision to the clans' old witch woman! As she was consumed by the vision from the gods, she uttered a vast and terrible prophecy: The Red would unite the clans of the north and lead them into an age of strength and prosperity!

Upon hearing this, the chiefs of the northern clans became jealous and fearful of their own power, and Sevrid was forced to flee his homeland.

Now, Sevrid the Red travels the world, seeking allies and knowledge, so he may return to his home and assume his destined position as the leader of his people... yet always he must be wary of the hunters that seek him still.

Details:
Knowing that his family will seek him, Sevrid headed away from the closer settlements to the south, where they would surely seek him first. Instead he has journeyed many weeks to the southeast, to the marches, eventually coming to Duran Keep.

Questioning the villagers has lead him to seek the counsel of Horing, priest of Erathis, and Rhogar, veteran of the Bold Brigade. From these wise men he hopes to discover the next step on his journey.

Description:
A tall eladrin with near white hair. He prefers to garb himself in natural colors. Browns and greens.

Background:
Martouk (Mar-Took) is a traveling wizard. Driven by wanderlust and a thirst for knowledge, he left his wife and sons many years ago. He is in no hurry to return to his family, but remains faithful to his wife. He knows that she may set out to find her own adventure, and that when they are both satisfied, they will return to the woods and live out their days together. His sons have surely begun their own quests by now. He hopes to meet them on the road and perhaps aid them in their own quests for knowledge or adventure. In that same manner, he hopes to encounter his own brother, father, grandfather or other ancestors who set about adventuring decades ago...

In recent years travel has become difficult and dangerous. Martouk has decided to start traveling with other adventures who can help him achieve more arcane knowledge and treasure. It should prove interesting anyhow.

Description:
Daggers are handy on a quest for new and exciting cuisine since they can fillet the beast as well as they can kill it. Heck, you can even throw 'em if you want to catch a flying creature. Afterall, you never know what kind sushi monsters you'll have to fight for their tastey meats.

Background:
Veera grew up in the Dwarfcrown Mountains, in the Hammer's Hold settlement. She frequently goes on trading expeditions to Duran Keep. Like most dwarves, she has a quick eye for anything wrought of value such as metal work, gems, and stone work. However, she has also grown an unusual knack for finding and inventing culinary ingredients. The exposure to cultural mix of food in Duran has made her limited dishes from home look increasingly boring. And, she thought more than once, how many tastey meats have not been discovered by some adventerous chef that looks beyond the known fish, fowl, and bovine...

"The secret is to use a good cast iron pot (you can get that from Hammer's Hold - quality products), but you need to tie down the lid - say about 100 feet of rope worth. Mix in a pinch of the powder, and at least one bottle of wine. (Whisky works well too.) Make sure you have a good wick sticking into the stew, tie down the lid, light it, and BOOM - the best damn stew you've ever had. "

Not everyone understands her way of cooking. Most people don't know that a pinch of fire powder makes a nice spice in stew. She got tired of having to explain why she needed mandrake root, nightshade, and the like, and just started borrowing ingredients when no one was looking. She's getting pretty good with those spice-chest locks too. And every once in while, she'll leave a coin behind...

Background:
Quick version, long version later:

The clan traveled in the far south as their numbers dwindled due to the passage of time. Father worked as a mercenary as did most of the clan. When Kravaxsaar when still very young a tragedy befell his parents and clan. They were in a battle and Karavaxsaar was hidden away, his parents never returned.

He was found by order of the Raven Queen clerics and raised by them. Basic idea: Serve the Raven Queen and your destiny shall be fulfilled. Kravaxsaar believes if he serves the Raven Queen and fulfills his part of the debt to fate that one day this will bring about the return of a new Arkhosia and a new rise of the Dragonborn. So, when of age Kravaxsaar left the order of the Raven Queen to fulfill his fate and pay his debt to the Raven Queen.
He has traveled north to The Northern Marches and has recently come to Duran Keep, hearing that they could use a strong sword, he looks to seek employment in these lands, for now. He has heard another brother Dragonborn, named Rhogar dwells here, perhaps he will have work for him.

So, Kravaxsaar, believes things happen for a reason, like the loss of his parents and being found by the Raven Queen clerics. The Raven Queen's will shall be served so that the one day return to power of the Dragonborn will come to pass, because it is their fate and destiny after all! :)
