This is a D&D campaign that has been active for almost 3 years now. Three of the current players are my children (ages 11, 10, and 8) so much of the content is age appropriate and designed to make the game enjoyable for children. This does not mean that the world isn’t dangerous or that we have cute little monsters instead of typical D&D baddies. What it does mean is that the emphasis is on roleplay, story, creativity and FUN! I use Dwarven Forge 3d terrain, tons of minis, lighting, sound effects and music, fog machines, puppets, scrolls, maps, gems and real coins to help create the atmosphere. So far the kids are more interested in D&D than almost any other hobby so I must be doing something right! I intend this portal to serve as a place to catalog their adventures and share their enthusiasm and excitement for D&D with the community. Enjoy!

The adventure began 3 years ago when the group was asked to investigate a place name Slaughtergarde…

It will take me some time to get the info uploaded into this site so please be patient with me.
There is a lot of info and story to add.

The story so far…
Friends since childhood, John Shadowblade and his closest companion Jeremy Warren set off to leave their small town and see the world. For years they had honed their skills and felt their lives wasting away in their small village. They traveled north toward Luskan in hopes that they might find work with one of the many caravans which always seemed to need extra guards. It was just their luck that they did indeed get work with a mercenary outfit escorting a merchant headed towards the northern cities as far up as Icewind Dale. Although it seemed an easy enough job, these two young would be heroes found out the hard way that life can be unpredictable and merciless. Two weeks into the journey the caravan was attacked by a massive force of kobolds. Only a small handful lived to tell the tale. Mortally wounded, lying in the middle of the road, Jeremy and John were left for dead.

Fate had other plans.

That very day the two were discovered by a heavily armed patrol who were hunting the very same Kobolds resonsible for the attack on the caravan. They were taken to Krondak Greyhelm, a cleric of considerable talent, for healing. For several months the two young men recovered from their wounds under the care of Krondak and his order. When John and Jeremy were fully recovered they set off towards luskan in the company of Krondak and a ranger named Ellrien.

Upon their arrival to Luskan the group learned that the problem with the trade route attacks had grown worse and that the Kobolds were becoming a serious threat to the local economy. The party accepted an offer to investigate and area know as Slaughtergarde Keep. It was there that the group learned what they were truly capable of as they dealt with Kobolds, Goblins and even worse! It was in this hellish place that the group met Princess Sarah Stormhammer. She had been captive there for weeks, a victim of the trade route raids, and no doubt a valuble ransom for these scum. For days the group investigated the sick and twisted lair of these Kobolds and were able to escape to report their findings. Never one to back away from a challenge, the Princess decided to travel with the group and see the world for herself.

It has now been three years since the group began their travels. They have faced many challenges and grown more powerful but the key to their success has always been their trust in each other.

They now find themselves near Loudwater investigating the dissapearance of some very powerful and ancient scrolls from the Mage Guild…

battling the ice fang
In the world Veldra we killed an ice fang that was stalking gem eaters. Some of the gem eaters helped us kill it. I almost died. The ice fang kept biting me. I was the closest and the smallest .It went for a gem eater’s throat! It used acid breath. I think I’ll stay in ranged weapons for now.

A prank on Squeak
One day a funny thing happened at Starfall Keep.

My rat Squeak had somehow stolen a large cheese wheel from the tavern kitchen. He was settling in to chomp on some delicious yellow goodness when suddenly our Frost Drake "Dizzy" swooped in and grabbed the wheel of cheese. He took off with the cheese and the chase was on! They ran around the keep for at least 5 minutes before the drake decided to take flight with it. Then he headed to the village and stayed just low enough to make Squeak think he stood a chance of getting it back. After another 10 minutes went by Dizzy decided to drop the cheese. Plop...right into a mud puddle. Squeak didn't seem to mind at all and sat right there and began his feast...with practically the whole village laughing at him.

The Plant
I was in a secret place the group discovered when suddenly a huge plant rooted in it's place bit Princess Sarah and wouldn't let go. Everyone started attacking the huge beast as soon as it snapped up Princess Sarah, but when I tried to throw my shuriken, I tripped and fell into the water, and I ripped my shirt and bruised my elbow! But luckily the group had the plant completely occupied. It was a good thing the barbarian Tor and the ranger Strum were there because Tor pulled Princess Sarah out of the plant with no effort at all. Then the goblin from a nearby encampment rushed over and fired his crossbow at us, but he missed, Princess Sarah was lying on the floor unconcious, but when she finally got back up, she asked the goblin why he had a giant plant monster for a pet, but the goblin didn't know how to speak common that well. All that was clear that he was very fond of the plant, so we stopped attacking it. Then the goblin healed it with some blue goo. After that the only one in the party who knew how to speak goblin, Tor, questioned the goblin, and the whole group got lots of information.

Squeak had a narrow escape
Yesterday I was at the keep just standing in the tavern, when suddenly Squeak popped up out of nowhere and was being chased by Elrien's pet panther Smoke! He was in such a hurry to get away he knocked over Captain Agmar in the process! He ran until he got to me and then he crawled straight up my pantleg and then up my shirt until his head popped out of the neck. Smoke looked at me like he was gonna eat me, but he hesitated. Then Squeak explained that he stole all of Smoke's food because he was starving. Then he tried to give me some! But unfortunetly, Smoke took the food from Squeak before he was able to give me the food. I honestly don't know if that rat is ever going to learn to stop getting himself in trouble so much.
