A white dragon plunders caravans heading north to Icewind Dale. In the Silver Marches, a scornful red dragon torches a town that refuses to pay a king’s ransom. Elsewhere, dragon-worshiping barbarians in Viking longships attack merchant vessels leaving Neverwinter, while masked heathens infiltrate a noble villa in Waterdeep, murder its lord, and steal a draconic artifact.

Dragons and their allies are threatening the Sword Coast and the North, but why now, and to what end?

For years, the evil Cult of the Dragon has devoted itself to creating undead dragons in a vain attempt to fulfill an ancient prophecy. However, the cultists were misguided. They misunderstood. But now, under new leadership, the cult believes that the prophecy does not speak of undead dragons, but of a dragon empire that’s been extinct for 25,000 years. Tiamat, the queen of evil dragons, has languished in the Nine Hells for millennia. The cult believes that the time of her return is at hand.

The cult has a new face and a new mission. It seeks to free Tiamat from the Nine Hells and bring her into the Forgotten Realms. To accomplish its goal, the cult needs five ancient dragon masks and the support of evil dragons everywhere. The cult leaders—each one a "dragon whisperer"—have reached out to the evil dragons of the Sword Coast and earned their allegiance.

Meanwhile, evil dragons in cahoots with the cult seek to amass a treasure hoard worthy of their dark queen, not by plundering their own hoards (of course) but by stealing money from cities, caravans, good-aligned dragons, merchant ships, and other sources. Their ravenous hunt for treasure throws the Sword Coast into upheaval. Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur’s Gate—no city is safe from their depredations.

The situation is dire. However, the Sword Coast is far from defenseless. Powerful factions are ready to rise up and put an end to the tyranny of dragons. Adventurers throughout the Realms must join forces to face Tiamat, destroy the Cult of the Dragon, and prevent the rise of a new dragon empire. In their hands, the future lies.

a bad feeling
Lately it seems i have become almost a burden to the people around me. I have become a red flag for our group. Whenever we are sought after I am the one that they target. The path of blood I leave behind is like a trail of bread crumbs for anyone after us. Now i even have to worry about being attacked in my sleep by enemies that can't even be seen. I will have revenge on that scum who was afraid to face me while i was awake. However I fear even if we make it out of the situation we are currently in I will only lead more enemies our way.

Are we there yet...i?
Leaving Arabel in search of the Dragon Scotty, we arrive in a small town where I send word back to my handler, Lady Evelyn. While keeping watch and lending an ear for the local gossip, most of which was about an assassination of a prince in Arabel, I notice a young woman come into the inn and talk with the inn keeper. She seemed very interested in the list of guests that the innkeeper had. After she was finished speaking with the innkeeper, she started up the stairs to the private rooms. Being alarmed by this, I signaled for the bard to blow her horn as previously agreed by the group in case of any trouble. I then stealthily went up the stairs in search of the woman but could not find her.

Without any luck, I retired to my room and began my trance for rest. The next day, we continued our journey and arrived in another town to seek a ranger that might of had information on Scotty. We found him after some flirting on my part with a pretty and nimble looking gnome that I think may have been the one. I will have to return some day to pursue this conclusion. After meeting with the Ranger, we set out up a steep cliff to find ourselves freezing and ambushed by a yeti and an other creature that swallowed my into the fiery pits of its stomach. I blacked out till waking up naked, blanketed, freezing and delirious. The group led me to a cave where we took shelter to rest.

a new weapon
I have grown tired of this blade I wield. I feel that it will not be enough when it comes time to fight a truly powerful foe. Its easy to wield sure but it cuts through just the same. I have this cutlass and it feels like a strong weapon but it does not work with the style I am comfortable in fighting with. I also have this bow that seems strong and I definitely wont have to worry about running out of arrows cause they will always come back but it still is not exactly my weapon of choice. I wish to find a greatsword to wield that feels worthy of these hands.

I Betrayed Their Trust
I've only known my rescuers for a small number of days... and I have already broken their trust. It feels like weeks since they saved me from my early grave from the abuse and mistreatment of the dragon cult. I owe them my life, but I cannot give up my faith. They are the reason I'm not dead, but Helm is what gives me reason to live.

When we stumbled into the crypt, I believed we were clearing evil from the lands. Another necromancer put to rest, I thought. I wouldn't have imagined that I'd end up desecrating a crypt that was under MY protection. When I realized my mistake, a rage came over me. not of destruction, but of protection. I had spent my life serving Helm, protecting the weak from the evil. I never would have assumed that I'd need to protect ANYTHING from good. And now, due to my "protection" two of my rescuers are dead. The grief I feel is immeasurable.

I have trespassed twice this day. The first, was the desecration of the crypt; for which I have begged the forgiveness of Helm. The second, was turning my back on my friends who relied on me. I failed them. I betrayed them. I know Helm will forgive long before they do.

His past
When mordekaiser was younger he was taken in by a barbarian clan as one of their own. It was with them that he learned his skills in battle that he uses today. One day he was sent off on a mission to hunt down someone that had been ambushing people from their clan when traveling. Within a week he was on his way back from his completed mission only to find that his clan had been massacred. He later on went to find the people responsible and joined the emerald enclave hoping it would lead to more answers. He has since left the enclave for unknown resons.
